The following FlashBackup files can downgrade your ROKR E1 bootloder from 0A.02 to 07.D0. Thanks to Random

Advantages: You can flash any E398 monster pack after that

Usage:

1) Backup your data, because everything will be lost
2) Use flashbackup to flash the "BOOT_0A02_to_07D0_step1". After this step the phone will boot in special boot mode
3) Flash the "BOOT_0A02_to_07D0_step2" file.
4) Now you can flash any Monsterpacks designed for E398@E1. Everything will work properly, including the itunes key!

and E398 user want upgrade to ROKR?

i think E398 BootLoader is better than ROKR.. just guess. lol

it's the Bootloader Of Real ROKR that they downgraded from 0A.02 To 07.D0
Because it is more safety you can backup your phone and restoring back the backup

we cant do testpoint to back our BL rokr e1.like my brother jame in molo

my ROKR E1 died.

I sent the first file successfully. then I again sent the next file. It accepts the file and again the screen says

Your on step 2 now, Flash the last downgrade (in downgrade zip) file then 42r_for_all (full) and your done

I dont think the '42r_for_all' is needed in downgrade ROKR bootloader.
But in upgrading E398 to ROKR, yes its needed.

I did send the second file to the phone. It also processes the file but somehow the application doesnt finish successfully.

U succeed on the first file did u, then u should so on the second file.
Maybe ur second file is corupt, try to get another one.

I got the file from e398mod.

Where else can I get the file?

I can do with ROKR Only MP.

U need to finish the job, Exploited has it in the first page.

The one in his sig is corrupt. Maybe that is the problem. Does anybody have a good file?

Yes it IS needed, I've done it many times before, Otherwise you get SW not found


No there isnt any other way to get it working other then flash the secons step, Use another program for the job RSD works a treat (as always)

What is RSD?

RSD Lite is a flashing program.. Its a warez and so do not ask link for that here..

or can I try to install anothe bootloader?

Update : I read things again and again. googled again and again. I found out that flash backup and flash&backup are two different sofwares. I found the other one.

Still the same problem appears.

I dont use '42r_for_all' when downgraded my ROKR bootloader, I just flash an MP after the process finish and it works fine.

I flash the step2 file when i got that message, I dont have any other solution.

what happened on your screen when you flashed to step 2?

I sent the phone to the moto service center today. The guy said he can most probably restore the phone. It's been 2 days now. What should I be expecting?

The problem as I said was most probably the second file not going through. Can the moto person do it?

I know its based on the skills but just trying to get an opinion from motohell members.

... I doubt it... AFAIK you can't get back to 0A.02 once you've downgraded

Besides 07.D0 is a lot better IMO, Easier to patch

He will probably smart-clip it and you`ll get it back with 0A.02 bootloader...Probably! And I think your warranty wont count since you`ve been playing with phones software..

They are returning the phone saying they cant do anything. Now its all upto me. :(

I first tried with profile ROKR E1 coz i was flashing E1
it seemed to work but didn't

Finally tried
'Gen 4 fone w/t boot ver. up to 07.D0

Work superbly and finished in 1 minute for 2 steps

Then
Just flashed normal E398@E1
Done!!!

unfortunately, afaik it's true.... at least until now....

but you can get your file by used flex parser.

Thanks, one problem though... i saved my old backup as a FB3 file so all the CG's are one file. Do you know how i can extract each one so I can get to the CG2?

easiest way's
in fb 3
go to firmwares - select file (choose your file) - delete unnecessary cg - save as smg files - done

xcuse me, i have a problem downgrade e1 with 79r fw, i have use TP with metal clip but it cant flashed either, anyone have a solution? oh and my e398 with 99r fw it cant flashed too. plz help me....

if you have e398, you can straight to flash it with full MP of 4xR.
if you can't flash, try to force boot it first.
about your e1, i think you have to test point, but it's very tricky.
if not test point, flash to 4xR MP but you have to edit the CG1 first. look in this forum about how to edit your CG1.

Dang! Wait! Ides... Your e398... Its R372....99R? You need to flash 42R_for_all and than you can flash any r373 MP for e398

@gayoe, i have force boot and flashed my e398 a couple time but its keep blinking white, anyway do you have any tutorial about test point, website or any link maybe i will try it on my phone. thanks

Yes, after downgrading your BL to 07.DO you can only use MP that is made for BL 07.DO (most of E398`s MP`s are made for BL 07.DO)
