Anybody know how to open dat files created by IM software especially skype? it contain chat history etc. i tried notepad&wordpad but strange symbol appeared. hope i can find the right software to open it. ;) Plz help.... Every software has it's own specific parsers so there is no unified software for "opening" dat files.
However if you open the file in HEX editor (XVI32 for example) you may be able to see some text (but many gibberish symbols around it too)... Try :) Title: Re: How to open Skype .dat files?
