Hi dudes I was making backup with flashbackup and the electricity stop :( After that i return to old backup but my keyboard didn`t work :( I flash it few times and it doesn`t work :( Please help me to make it work :( Sorry for the bad english

I've ever see it happened to my friend's phone. And the diagnose is hardware problem. Just like this, u can only use red button, bcoz there is a shorcut on others pin buttons! Solution, disasemble ur phone, and cleans ur keypad board, joystick, and everywhere u find dust... I've done it to my friends phone, and now it works well...

I clean it but still nothing :( After several restarts # and 0 works. Can you tell me another reason for that and may be how to repair it ?
edit: Wow some strange things happen... when the phone is off i can load the boot screen with * and # but when it is on * doesn`t work :o

Reflash reflash reflash.. I know MANY people have fixed it that way, I remember from MoMo ;)
Flash some new full mp, maybe 42R for all.. That should do the trick

I got an E398(virgin :) :) ) yesterday with the same problem (only RED button works).. After hours of cleaning,flash,reflash etc etc I gave up and handed over to the service centre... More info tomorrow.. :S

I found it happened to mine, I opened it and found that there is something wrong on my joystick. Normally I didn't press it, but it seem that joy-down is pressed. That's why my keys gone bad, only red that works, revived now. Different with my friend's. That is located on keypad terminal- only red is fine. So, the problem can be anything! just check everything that results like this.

10x I`ll start reflashing and if there is no success i will give it to service :( 10x again. Later will write again for the result ;]
Already tryed twice but no success :( Still trying....

Thats stranger... Try to reflash it with R373_FOR_ALL, or in other word, upgrade Ur E398. Maybe its bcoz the damaged firmware in Ur backup.

The same efect :( Still only the red button works... But the strange is that i can enter boot loader when the phone is off with holding # + * and the red button :lol:

PC can detect Ur phone?its stranger.

The phone works, everithing but the keyboard is perfect :(

Hardware problem,looks like ur keyboard broken.

Tomorrow i will give it to some service, but i think that it is a software problem and i want to ask how can i erase all data from all firmware parts on the phone?!?And to make the phoen run after all :)

Tell us the result then...

they told me that the problem is in firmware ?!? And to flash the phone... can you give me link to dl the original software and try with him ;] This is my last hope ;-/

I made it, but i flash with JithinSK`s motomusiq and now i can`t reflash it again !?! When i put the phone on the cable and start flashing it says "Switching to flash mode" and the phone reboot and nothing happens !?! When i start it in boot loader mode it can`t connect the pc !?! Please help, coz i`m tired of this phone...

I didn't get the phone yet.. They said they have to replace an IC(?).. (Its too difficult to find E398 spares in India) :(

that`s bad, but with my moto there`s somethin wrong. I install a new MP / very hard / and now the keyboard work fine. But the weard things don`t stop !?! I think that there`s something with the red button, that makes the phone turn off. When the keypad is locked it say that it try to push some button, but i don`t push the button, so it pushes itself !?!
I don`t know if you understand me right, but i can`t describe the things that are happening to my phone o_0 Soon i`ll bring it back to the repair service and show them what is the phone doing !?! I hope they repair your moto JithinSK

that was happen with my phone a half mont ago..
first i think coz i used the bad MP but after i asked with many master in this forum
i can fix my phone...thanks god & the master
The step is:
1. flash with R373_for_all
2. flash again with a nice MP that you like, in this case i used MOTOHELL MP.
3. rehot the two IC key pad, there's a little black box near the joystick pad, and the other one is near the camera switch
if doesn't work.........never give up n try again, coz right now my phone is works properly after do that step.

Hello guys I have a problem since yesterday, when I'm pressing '0' my phone turn off :/ what is going on.
I can use 500 or *0, but if I try 0 as first I have this problem...
only on desktop

I got similiar problem, my phone start to press '3' button by itself, i have flashed it many times and still got the problem.
can somebody help?
