Post by: ojay on February 25, 2008, 09:34:39 am You didn't uninstall them completely. If it's still charging when connected, open up Device Manager and the Motorola drivers should show up in there. Uninstall the drivers there, and if that fails, you'll have to manually removed the files listed in there.
Why would you want to deactivate the USB charge anyway? You can't access the phone and I believe the phone automatically charges when it's connected anyway... Title: Re: [E2] How to deactivate usb charge? Post by: luks10100 on February 25, 2008, 10:21:29 am Ahhh... Okok.. Of course, if I remove completely the drivers (And don`t install any driver after that) the phone doesn`t charge, but I can´t access the phone :P ... Is there a way to access the phone, without it charges? (By seem edit my old v360 dosn´t charge when USB is conected.. It must be a way for E2 too.. Or not?)
The reason is because I`ve experimented more batery lifetime (In my old v360, nokia 1100, SE T290, Motorola StarTac, etc...) discharging it completly, and making a full charge with the phone charger. Thanks a lot for your atention! And again.. Sorry for my english :-[ Regards! Title: Re: [E2] How to deactivate usb charge? Post by: kvorought on February 25, 2008, 04:02:25 pm This is very interesting. Charging the battery to its full each time maximizes its life between charges, while connecting and disconnecting it frecuently, such as when you use USB to transfer files, generates something called "Memory", that is, the topmost charge limit decreases to the point reached by the last, uncomplete charge.
I read about it in the manual of my ipod, which now rests in peace. It does make sence deactivating the usb charge feature, guys. I'll also be gratefull if you have any ideas as of where to start looking for an elegant solution. Title: Re: [E2] How to deactivate usb charge? Post by: luks10100 on February 25, 2008, 06:05:58 pm Some people say that "Memory efect" only happens with old batteries of "Ni-Cd", with the new "Lithium-Ion" batteries this doesn`t happen. However, my experience show me that is better for the battery charge it how i´ve explained. But I don´t know the exactly reason...
