It's because this fw have the "personal" operator flex... and if you have your phone for other company cause this problem. now i`m uploading the corrected fw with the extreme 2 flex...  i think that could be the solutions for users who are asked for subsidy code..

Reading Subsidy Code with p2kSupportTool

THIS IS ONLY FOR CELLULAR DESBLOQUEADOS

The program is included in the p2kSupportTool PST
Once downloaded and installed go to the folder where the PST installed, usually "C: \ Program Files \ Motorola \ PST" and seeking an executable under the name "PST" and has a blue icon also said that Gradient PST. Well, this is the p2kSupportTool

With a lot of googling, I found some usefull information. Any one has locked his/her phone like me with entering many wrong codes and doesn't see the code enter field any more. It is said that keep your sim card in your phone and keep your phone powered on. About 1 hour to 8 hours the enter subsidy code area will appear again. Then find or buy a valid code, enter it and your phone will be unlocked forever also with any other FW. 

Now I am waiting for the code enter field to appear again. I hope this will work.

Quite frustrating, tutorials used to say there was nothing to worry about when reflashing...

It seems the only solution is to find or buy an unlock code or software.

for read your subsidy code use pst, is the unique solution, or pay for unlock or TEST POINT.

Pst doesn't work for e2 as it was told on afew pages before. If you know how to do, please share with us.

PST does not recognize my E2 neither in modem nor in network. I kinda gave up and am planning to go downtown for a shop to free my phone (I got no credit card).

I think we have to find out exactly why this is happening, to avoid it in future releases. I got my E2 just two days ago, and now it's blocked. But I do like modding so I think It would be good if we informatively overcome this whole subsidy code subject.

Does anybody know why this is happening or where to start looking for such an answer?

this fw locked the phone for PERSONAL company in argentina, that is the name of the company PERSONAL.

conect the phone in MODEM mode, whithout sim card, then PSTtool recognize the phone, you need read the guide and follow step by step for read the code subsidy.

I solved my locking problem with buying a subsidy code online. Now it is OK. And PST guide doesn't work for E2 at all. Even if you do all the things step by step, there is no response data that contains the code as told in the guide.

And @Mati, next time please test it more, you cost me 16$, man :) But, on the other hand thanks for your FW.

No, there is no need to Servis Provider name. You can get the code with only your phone's IMEI number. But be sure that the code you get with *#06# is the same with the one that back on your phone (under the battery).

It locked for movistar/Colombia too. I'll have to buy the code....

This monster pack must be based on a movistar stock firmware.
I think it's irresponsible releasing a Firmware without checking if the BP may lock other phones...

I cant buy any software from net neither from other source. Its my only cellphone and now im going to loss it bcz i have flashed it!!...
its fun to flash but this time it became "curse" after flashing.
I tried other FW but still same(still asking SUBSIDY KEY)!! ... and tried everything what was told to recover it.But i failed. :(
there are other e2 users to who cant buy subsidy key. They need a better solution including me!!

I had to pay $49 for the same because one firmware in m3 locked my phone, for TELCEL, but 10 months ago.

that's NOT upon e2mod. It's on the FW author. Stop it. Nobody gives to you any warranties on modding.

Exploited mirrored it on E2mod.com right away since he had great experiences with the original Titanium.  He took it down immediately when people had problems.  Too bad mati77 fucked up on this one, I was about to flash it but saw others had problems.

My phone is back again. I have it unlocked in cellphone shop. The bad thing is, It was openned for testpoint.

Anyway, no hurt feelings with mati77 coz I'm still using his FW. It's fast and stable.

i agree. blaming author is worst thing for me. if u dont like it then dont mod ur phone. stay with stock fw. blaming anybody wont help u to get solution. author is great enough to share his fw.

It is because Mati used a locked FW to a servis provider that named "Personal" from Argentina. It is not important that your phone was unlocked before. Because my phone was unlocked when I bought it as I was using two different Sim cards from two different provider without any problem. But when I flashed to Tit. Extrm. FW It asked me subsidy code. And as I never heard something about this code before, I entered wrong code many times and locked my phone. But now I have my code and if something happens again I can use this code again and again:)

hi... The problem was only originated with "code group 2". This CG is in BP part and it modified the operative bands. By mistake i install this CG from Personal Network

For future developers, please don't use CG2 from blocked networks

However, my contacts and messagens didn't open, then I decided to put another firmware
Now, I am becoming crazy just because I want to put this one again. That's the best ever since ROKR Ultimate.

Guys, I have just read something interesting. Your service provider must have your subsidy code on file. If you are kind enough when you call, they may give it to you.

No, it's not band-locked. I have flashed GSM900 flex (our operator GSM) and then reflash with anothe flex. But subsidy code is still there, even with my "native" GSM (in settings - network connections - search setup - GSM900). It's doesn't work...Has anybody an acount of GOT or something else?

Well, I tried with my service provider and they charge me $16 and take my phone away one week. Another guy charges me $20, takes the phone away one day, but he doesn't give me the code; he says a software does all the job and he has no access to the code. I would buy it online but have no credit card. Guess I'll just do one more search for a program or something that unlocks the phone, then I'll decide what to do about this problem.

If someone has a quick solution it would be much appreciated!

Actually, i don't know well, what he has do. He have told me, that he only has do test point and then reflash the phone with blank BP (Sumatra_Eraser?), and then flash it again with normal BP and AP! : ) That's all i know! : )

Guys, you all MUST do test point! Without it, you can't restore your phone! Just do test point and then flash it with blank BP, then - with original, non-operator motorola BP and flash AP part!! It's work!

alright. i agree with the new name from GeozTsai. BTW to do the Testpoint procedure we need a SmartClip box and SmartMoto software. It's very2 expencive ............... and high difficult working.

Here is my translation of test point from motofan.ru:

1-st method:

...First of all you need to detach the protection screen (display) of E2. You can do it by knife.

1. Connect test point to the earth (the earth can be anything - protection screen, memory card slot etc)
2. Press and hold the voice button.
3. Switch on the phone
4. Then plug USB cable to the phone
5. Release the voice button
6. The press it again
7. Wait, until Windows recognize your phone
8. Release the voice button again
9. Detach test-point-to-earth connection
10. It's all! - now you can flash the phone with eraser or blank BP! : )

2-nd method (more prefer - you don't need to detach the protection screen (display) of E2).

Well, it seems like BP stands for Baseband Processor, which is one of the two proccesors in the E2 (the other is the AP, or Application processor), and it also seems to refer to "Band Processes," which are the "telephonic" functions of the E2, of which the Baseband Processor is in charge.

So I guess "installing a BP" means installing a driver for that processor... am I right?

And after you flashed with Barbados_Sumatra_Eraser, you can flash the phone with any BP and AP you like! : ))

@shadowhitman, The safe way to unlock without testpoint is buying the code with credit card on the internet, like www.mobileunlocked.com, only need your IMEI code.

Guys, I'm in the middle of the testpoint. First I had to find the tiny precission screw driver that's needed, then disassembled the phone (the testpoint is under the cammera).

I even assembled it again after a first try, to make sure it was still working (and it was), and then disassembled it again to keep trying.

I have tried to connect it several times already, but the phone doesn't go to the second bootloader. It's difficult to keep the wire in contact with the testpoint, as it is so small, so I don't know if that's where I'm failing.

I'll go on trying, then let you know...

Things went further. I decided to take it by the chubs. The rokr box helped me keep the phone steady. Not totally into the phone-shaped hole but with a certain lateral slope, as the usb cable was connected and also, you could see the bootloader's red light under the phone, and even what bootloader you were in thanks to the box's reflection.

With a papper clip bent and attached to a heavy wood bar that was placed over the rest of the box I contacted the testpoint and with the bending, which I had to find by a lot of test and error, I caused the clip to touch the processor's cover also, which was supposed to be the ground (by the way, I tried to connect it to the actual floor but it didn't seem to work).

Then, by hand, I put the battery in place and released the voice button, but this time I hit it once again soon, before the RSD lite recognized it as NS Flash, and there it came the second bootloader. I harried to the Barbados_Sumatra_Eraser shx and started but an error came... heck I had not removed the testpoint! Did it and tried again and there I was flashing.

Had to hold the battery in place for a while, by breathing as good as I could, and when done the phone attempted to start but I released the battery. Reassembled the phone, and as I saw previously it was to start, I decided to turn it on..... but .ajksdhfklj b, THE LOCK IS THERE"!!"!""

Did I screw up by not re-installing a good AP and BP right after?

I'm reinstalling to see what happens (edit: nothing happens so I'll retry the whole process tomorrow).

Please let me know if you have any questions (not that I'm sure I can answer) or any solutions.

yes, i have a question: you said that it went to NS Flash mode? ok, after install the Blank BP what ap & bp did u install? did u try with a factory ap & BP? or did u try with a moded one?

That's where I think I went wrong; I didn't install any other AP/BP but started the phone with the old Titanium Extreme. Now I tried several times but the flashing is throwing an error after a while of hard processing.

I notice the phone may connect in one of three modes, as for the names I see in RSD Lite: one is NS Flash... but this one comes when you just wait in the first bootloader. If you enter the second bootloader, either "S Blank Neptune LTE2" or "S Flash Neptune LTE2" appear. The guide says it has to be in "S Blank Neptune LTE2" so I suppose thats the mode that comes when the testpoint succeeds and you enter the second bootloader, as the bootloaders appear even if no testpoint is attempted.

It throws the error at the flashing in both second bootloaders "S Flash..." and "S Blank...". I'll try again, but this time I'll write down the errors as they appear in RSD Lite. Do you think this flashing errors could be solved?

The phone behaves normally once reassembled.

Yes, you was wrong - you haven't install new BP and AP after testpoint and Eraser!!! You need to do all the steeps again and after test point and eraser you must install new BP and AP (make sure, that AP & BP is not locked!), and then you can switch on your phone! In whole process your phone must be in bootloader mode! Don't turn it on before you have to complete all the steps!! Good Luck!!

I'm flashing from a laptop so I'll just change to another of the three ports... that by tomorrow.

Tomorrow i had do the testpoint procedure 1, everything work O.K. But when i am flashing the eraser or blank BP with RSDLite, the process error or fail. And the result is subsidy lock still exist. Now, i'm frustation! What can i do now?

@kvorought, i'm found same problem with you! Maybe the file eraser or blank BP was corrupted.

In my case, I notice the flashing through RSD Lite, once in  "S Blank Neptune LTE2", does not even start. The error comes out at the very beginning. That's why I suppose it's not the BP. Anyway, if someone has any other clean BP, that would be really nice to try.

My result of testpoint was succes until S Blank Neptune LTE2, in this condition i'm flash eraser or clean or blank BP (Barbados Martinique), but process found error "Failed flashing process. Incompatible superfile for subscriber unit state 0x430703A. Phone connected". I try more and more time, but error still exist. The final result is "FRUSTATION".

In my experience, the

error appears when i was flashing a BP or an AP on the incorrect boot loader (i.e. 1st boot loader or 2nd boot loader).. In other words, u flashed the bp to the wrong bootloader.. I dont know if this too is you're problem.. But i hope u'll be able to figure it out.. Good luck.

But RSD Lite recognizes the device as "S Blank Neptune LTE2", that means we are in the right bootloader, doesn't it?

i'm flashed eraser or clean BP or stock FW when my phone detected by RSDLite : S Blank Neptune LTE2. And I think it is the right bootloader.

atlast!!!!! my e2 is unlocked. i took it to a local servicing shop to unlock the cellphone.i had to pay almost $8.5.
i could try doing testpoint myself but i did not want to damage my e2 :-s (bcz i never did it before).
They didnt do any testpoint. They said they paid a website for the subsidy code & thats all they did.
well... it means they paid less than $8.5. if they can find a cheaper website then how come we didnt find it:-s
anyways...now my cellphone is unlocked for life time!!

as someone said, i think you are flashing the incorrect part but, ill try with mine, as i know, 1 is under the screen, and the second tp is in the back, Right? maybe if we try in the part without taking out the lcd?

I think the matter is not the testpoint itself. As I understand the testpoint is used to take the phone to "S Blank Neptune..." mode (instead of the "S Flash Neptune..." that would appear if you do no testpoint). Is it a matter of the driver? I don't know how to uninstall the drivers without the phone being connected, and I don't know how to update them. But I don't know which drivers would be fine either. So it does not matter, I found someone who is going to do the unlock at a reasonable price...

Yeah, I give up this time.... no one here has got successful results, and no one seems to have the right answers.

Me also experience like this but not when use this firmware, I accidentally flash it with branded firmware from Telcel Mexico. And now my E2 become my MP3 player :) Fortune, I still can acces the menu without SIM Card using this firmware R564_G_12.03.33P_LP0021_G007_1FF
