Title: Hydrogen battery on Motorola phone Post by: Exploited on January 23, 2008, 03:43:36 am The company Angstrom Power successfully replaced the standart battery of Motorola phone with hydrogen burning box. Amazingly they even kept the dimentions of the phone body unchanged
Hydrogen burning batteries can be charged to full for 10 minutes and should last longer than the standart li-Ion. The mass development of the battery is expected from 2010... how about the safety? Title: Re: Hydrogen battery on Motorola phone Post by: keaglez on January 23, 2008, 05:30:31 am I hope we can buy the battery only... :)
Title: Re: Hydrogen battery on Motorola phone Post by: Exploited on January 23, 2008, 11:46:12 pm safety... not sure, but who cares LOL :)
No kidding - it should be safe enough. It should be like the hydrogen engines for cars (still prototypes too of course) - the hydrogen is sodden in aluminium, so it cannot explode... One example: http://www.physorg.com/news98556080.html This article says that it's a new invention, but it is definetly not - I know that such development existed in my country from 10 years and more, however it was never made in real. The problem was that you cannot charge whole car so easy and fast, so the option is when you go to the gas station to replace your aluminium tank with a charged one... trust me it's very heavy and the gas stations do not have enough space to keep them :) I never thought that such production can be implemented for phones Title: Re: Hydrogen battery on Motorola phone Post by: NiKSY on January 24, 2008, 01:05:29 pm The future is bright 8)

Title: Re: Hydrogen battery on Motorola phone Post by: NiKSY on February 17, 2008, 03:43:48 am Its not cheap because its still in prototype fase... When it starts massive production it will get cheaper and cheaper :)
