Please help!
Sometimes my phone could not move MP3 from CARD to PHONE, and when it happen I used to Apply the MP again, but in at last time it didn't happen! I have tryed to turn it on with *+#+ON, take off the battery and tryed again and nothing happen!!!

Below some details that I think could help:

-I'm on windows XP;
-I always used FlashBackup version 2.62;
-I always used R373_MP_RadeonWabi_BlackMonster;
-I have 3 Full backup's of my phone (*.bin extension with 32MB of size)
-When I open the FlashBackup and connect the USB cable, the prog says my phone is connected.

Please help me!

if the status still say connected try restore your backup

Maybe u hav the same problem with botbot, more or less.
Look for his thread about bootloader for refference.
Niksy has give some solution in it.
Try that if what motomaniac said not working with u.

If restoring backup gives you error,try forcebooting.. It will most probably work for you..

Hi people, first of all, thanks a lot you for your support!
I tryed to restore my full backup but it didn't work. I still can't turn my cell on. (*+#+ON doesn't work)

I'll retry restoring full backup, bootloader/forceboot. But if this does not work? What I can do? (Or these methods is safe from error?)
I can't do it at the moment because I'm at job.

Hello people, I tryed force boot (shorting pin 4 and 5) following that steps...and nothing happen...
What I can do now? Is there anything to recover my phone?

There are many guides of revieving the phone on MoMo... THIS ONE (http://www.motomodders.net/Default.aspx?tabid=55&forumid=13&postid=340057&view=topic) by tata78 is probably the easiest and its tested (by me,also) and it works everytime if you follow it right.

I have reinstalled the windows xp, and I think my driver is wrong...and now The FlashBackup say that my phone is not connected...
So I need the winxp drivers and the link of MFF...
I don't want to take my phone to 3rd parties, You look more trstable. (And I have to pay for their service...)

You can download the latest Handset_USB_Driver_32_v3.3.0 from THIS (http://developer.motorola.com/docstools/USB_Drivers/) site (you need to register).. And the link to MFF is not permitted as it is a warez.. You can search on google for PST..

My FlashBackup say its still disconnected. ;D

-How do I uninstall (all) the old wrong drivers?(they are into the system)
-Installing the driver downloaded from motorola website is sufficient to update windows drivers?
-May my battery lost energy during this tests?
-If I connect my dead phone on recharger, will battery recharge or not?

HERE (http://www.e398mod.com/content/view/104/25/) you can read about fixing your drivers and connecting properly.

You will need to full charge your battery to fix your phone, but you cant charge it in your dead phone. Use desk charger or take e398/ROKR from some friend to charge your battery :)

THIS (http://www.hotlinkfiles.com/files/619892_sihhg/DriverTool.exe) tool will help you in removing all the existing drivers.. Beware of double clicking it,it wont ask you before proceeding..

Well, do you know if I can take off my battery and put it in another phone to recharge?
What motorola models can recharge E398 battery? (Any that can put it in?)
If yes I'll search a friend that have a models with the same battery, and recharge to me.

I tried to uninstall my old drivers, but when I reconnect the windows don't popup me asking for a new hardware/driver on USB. I think it is my battery.
I just need a confirmation to recharge my batt in other motorola phone.

In the last option I can pay :( for recover it in a mobile center in my city, and I would like to install a MP with some 'special' features like:
-unlimited videorecord (until get no free space in card);
-Itunes;
-Dictaphone or similar to record voice unlimited (until get no free space in card);
-Increased time signal on bluethooth;(More than 60sec)
-Datebook;(to tasks)

Nothing more... Do you know a MP with this? (I'll ask for your help installing this!)

My friend recharged my battery yesterday and today I didn't get sucess with Force-boot. I used a wire in "V" form to short 4,5 pins.

I'll take my phone to a guy that say "can" reinstall and I'll look here for detailed instructions to MP comment above...

If he suceed fixing it, I'll ask him what he did.

I need to know what method he get to restablish the connection.

I thank you for all help and tips.

Yesterday 22th of feb, the guy that I took my phone called me and say that he didn't fix it.
He asked me to take my MoMo to Autorized Center, there They said that can not reinstall the software, and the only option to me is to buy a new motherboard. It cost here more than U$100, and I decided keep my old Momo Rest In Peace. :'(

Well, today I went to the mall and buy a new cellphone, W880i, because it have too much options than E398. I told the guy about my E398, he asked me to bring it there to let he try to fix it. Next week I'll try to go there and take my E398 ...If he get success fixing it I'll come here and start everything again!

Hello, I take my E398 to the guy that sold me the W880i.
He is trying to recover it.

you have full charged battery,right? and no force BL,right? And you don't have instaled drivers,right?
well,try to instal drivers with some other motorola e398 (I think it will work even with any other motorola phone) and then folow the tata's tutorial as NIKSY said... Now,the force BL must work,maybe the phone goes to BL but there is nothing on the screen... you have to connect your phone to PC to see is it in BL... hope I didn't cofused you :)
