Title: The three parallel lines and the equaliteral triangle Post by: Exploited on December 25, 2007, 12:54:53 am Simple task - you have three parallel lines a, b and c. Build an equaliteral triangle, which three vertexes lie on each line. You can use Geonext if you know it: http://geonext.uni-bayreuth.de/index.php?id=2481&SPRACHE=en

Make a vertical line and take the crossing point on the middle line. Based on the distances between the lines you can calculate the angle between the vertical line and the segment from the middle point and one of the others two. Once you have this angle - you build the segment and you are ready to build the triangle (it's very simple when you have one of the triangle sides
