Title: [E2] Problems playing WMA/WMV Post by: ojay on December 04, 2007, 11:07:27 pm Anyone else having trouble playing Windows Media files?
I tried everything: In stock mplayer, ZMplayer, Rockbox, WMVs/WMAs just freeze up the phone. I'm using Ultimate. Title: Re: [E2] Problems playing WMA/WMV Post by: error398 on December 05, 2007, 12:20:25 am ermm maybe the codec problem.. try to reflash ur phone..

I want to avoid reflashing if possible, especially with newer and better firmwares right around the corner. Converting WMAs to the universal MP3 format isn't a problem, but converting WMV to MP4 takes forever. I preferably want to play these video right out of the box if possible... All WMVs I get I wish would play 'out of the box' with ZMplayer or stock mplayer. It's a pain in the ass and time-consuming to convert them really, but for now without reflashing this is the only way. About SUPER: I've heard many positive reviews of SUPER, but also a few bad ones. Some of the complaints include SUPER having spyware, or violating GNU-GPL licenses or whatever, which I will not support. Besides, I mess around with video files a lot and there's nothing better than knowing the exact encoding configurations. Title: Re: [E2] Problems playing WMA/WMV Post by: konspirasi on December 10, 2007, 09:55:27 pm I dont know bout super violating gnu, but for encoding any video format for e2 i use 320x240, 480kbps, 25 fps (15 if u want play it in stock player). For sound any popular format like mp3, mp2, aac or else with 44100khz, 2 channel, 128kbps should enough.
I was trying wmv, avi, mpg, mp4 n the most light n compatible for zmplayer is mpg but now i use avi cos its smaller size than mpg |
