Its so simple.. Here's how it goes.I'm talking about photoshop.. I dunno other s/w..
Make a duplicate layer of the image to be mirrored.

Now goto edit-->Transform-->Flip vertical
Use the move tool to align the picture just below the original image.

Now decrease the opacity of the duplicate layer to a low value as required.

Final image will look like as shown below :)

You can do this for text layers also. A more beautiful mirror image can be created by selecting the lower portion of the duplicate image--> Right click on the selection--> Use feather--> Take a suitable radius(say,10 pixels) --> press "delete" --> You are done
The final image will look like as shown below..

Making an animation is bit difficult..i use Jasc Animation Shop.  You have to make individual frames and then use various built-in transitions between the frames.

Well,just open the following PSD file created by me using photoshop. Then have a look at each layer and see what each one does. You will surely understand those things now.. :)

Just learned how to use "Actions" in photoshop... We can get some amazing results with it and a lot of "action presets" can be downloaded too :D
Wanna try it?
OK here it is..

• Download the file from the attachment and extract it. Place the pstemp_3pics.psd file in C:\PSTEMP
• Open photoshop.Goto window --> Actions
• In the action palette,choose load actions. Now browse to the *.atn file in the extracted folder
• Load 3 images of your coice. The images will be resized to about 730 x 530 pixels which means landscape oriented pictures will look the best. You can use whatever image you like. Experiment! Maybe it’ll turn out just right!!
• Now in the actions palette,select Filmstrip [perspective],Press PLAY and let the action work!
• Voila,see what you got?? Post it here :)

Now I would like some help in creating some background layer... Like that one in your sig atm? How did you make it? :D Just with brush..or...?

Ok,here ya go..  :)
1) Create a 400*100 image with black background..

2)Right click on the layer.Select "Blending options".Use pattern overlay and select the pattern as shown.. (the pattern I used is attached with the post.You have to load those patterns to use it)

3)Now reduce the opacity of the pattern.You will get an image as shown.

4)To make a glossy appearance,create a new layer and use the elliptical marquee tool to make a selection as shown.

5)Now use "white to transparent" gradient over the layer.

6)Reduce the opacity of the layer to about 40%.. The final image will look like as shown below. :)

Hope the steps are clear. You can use different patterns to make different backgrounds.. :)

Ok I just did this its so simple when you follow your steps  ;)
Now Im interested in creating borders... Maybe one like the edge of iPhone, if you know what I mean?

I think you can try different layer styles for making borders.. :)
