I have a little experiences i wanna sharing about ...

Known Ur Ussual Hardware Problem

1. Battery
    To make sure Ur battery is working well, charge Ur batt to full and use the multitester to check the voltage. The voltage is about 3,8 at fully charged. less than its voltage, thats mean the battery is leak. If the phone is detect it as n invalid battery, it may caused by IC Control in Ur batt broken( usually caused by short circuit) or there is some software problem. To make sure, try the known-right-battery to Ur phone and also clean the connector. If the phone still detect it as invalid, its caused by the software. Reflashing should help. But if Ur phone detect the batt, Ur old batt is broken. Its absolutely made by the broken IC control. The batt may not leak, so dont throw it away. It can be combined with leak batt to make the right batt.
2. LCD
   To check Ur LCD, simply enter the camera mode and cover the lens with anything so the LCD is black at all. If U found a white dot or anything( the LCD isnt black at all) Ur LCD is leak. I still not found that its caused by the software.
3. Phone wont charge
   The most usual causes is the charger connector isnt clean. Try to clean it. Put a tape or something to make the charger connector is not " moving" when charging. To make sure Ur charger is OK, just compare it with other charger or test it with other phone.

So, its just my experience. Others adding soon. Maybe should help.

In normal condition, e398/e1 cannot make the batt overcharging bcoz there's a resistor in the charger used to " throw away" the voltage when the batt is detected as fully charged by phone. Its normal if the phone becomes warm when charging. If the phone becomes overheat when charging,it may cased by the phone( ussualy hardware problem ) or the charger.

I think electronic part that can do that called zener diode, resistor only a current divider.
Basic charging system is to make equal the current between charger and charged equipment. Current will flow from charger (higher) to battery (lower).
If we use original charger, it wont overcharge since its designed for the battery unless one of them is broken.

Yuppz. hehehe, i forget that. The resistor is only reduce the voltage that sent back to the charger when the batt is full

Recently I install MPT, but it seems didn't recognize my phone! always fail when builds int'net conection. I use MoHell MP, must I rename its flex?

Did you get the phone connected ?? (shows network signal and battery).. Both p2k softwares and MPT do not work together..

Yes I did, MPT tray icon said that my phone to MPT connection is in a good reception...
But when I dial the int'net conn. he said that my conn. is poor...
BTW what does "PPP link was terminated" mean...?

That means you are not allowed to use internet by your operator..

or perhaps you don`t set the right APN for your modem.
You can set it from modem advanced properties (Extra setting field):
at+cgdcont=1, "IP", "your provider APN"

I've tried those all' and still can't be connected!
But, when I change my number to other provider I can connect without to do setting at all

I use XL, Mentari and 3.
For Mentari, use this setting:
Dial-up connection setting:
User : indosat
Password : indosat
Dial : *99***1#
Modem advanced setting:
at+cgdcont=1, "IP", "indosatgprs"

MPT show me wrong pics of Phone Model! I don't know what type is it! Now I use WinXp SP2, in Vista Mpt shows the right model.
I think my PC OS isn't stable anymore!

I never use MPT for connecting Internet using my phone.
I made dial-up connection using the setting above :)

Aahh.. Browsing the net on PC using phone modem is so wasting money. If ur network operator has it, its better to use time base connection. I think Indosat has it. Or u can use opera mini via java emulator like master agunk said in other thread.

i use 3G Tsel For my connection

i hate t-sel for gprs, i only use it for sms and call, when i need gprs i'll use im3 its cheaper and faster.

where i can find XVI32 or any other program similiar to that?
