MotoMusiQ v3 42R for Phones with 07.D0 bootloader (E398 and downgraded ROKR E1)

For the final time,I present another MP in the MotoMusiQ series. This time,its gonna be based on the R373 42R firmware which I think is the best for our E398. Though the speed of the MP is relatively slow,you will be pretty much satisfied by its sound quality,especially if you were previously on 49R :)

I've applied all the available patches for 42R which are listed below.

Here's what is inside :

Language list : 0003 (English with 5 different fonts and Indonesian)

      1)  Abolish control by illumination Java
      2)  Access main menu everywhere by pressing menu+menu
      3)  Add new simbol ± ² ³ ½ ¼ ¾
      4)  Alarm-LeftSoftKey change to Edit (It still shows "exit",but is actually "edit")
      5)  change date format DD/MM/YY to DD.MM.YY
      6)  Auto delivery report sms 1.16 (Once you turn it ON,it'll remain untill you turn it OFF)
      7)  Bluetooth availabilty time changed to 5 min
      8)  Camera button 1x camera 2x videocam (If you press camera button twice,video camera will be started)
      9)  Cancelation check signature java
      10) Change Display Timeout Activity
      11) Change display activity (20 sc, 40 sc, 1 minute, 2 minutes)
      12) Change ringstyle (Press menu+* to switch between "Loud" and "Vibrate" modes)
      13) Change in the order of symbols(. ? ! , @ ' - _ : ; ( )  to  . , ? ! : ; ( ) - @ _ ')
      14) Complete access to the file system of the telephone (java, bluetooth, OBEX)
      15) Increase in the size of the user dictionary ITAP to 15k
      16) Java full access patch
      17) Name and time in the list of the alarm clocks
      18) Java with the cable works

i think gayoe has told me but i forget.. let see ... ahhhh when you set ringtone for personal contact (not on ringer style).... when we do not use the patch usually the sms tone same like the call tone but if we patch this you can hear the sms tone same as the general sms tone that you set in ring style...but you can have personal ringtone

JithinSK, you can use elektro mpatcher to patch any 4*R firmware.
mPatcher + 17 patches ported by me can be downloaded here http://rapidshare.com/files/59547905/mpatcher.7z.html (sources included)

just add the converter pack for 42R...

Converter pack is a package that contains ramdld, CG7, CG18 and a patch file (*.fpa) that is used for converting E398 MP to ROKR E1 MP.
If you have a E398 MP and you want to use it for ROKR E1, you can use this converter pack.
You just have to replace ramdld, CG7, CG18 on E398 MP with ramdld, CG7, CG18 from the package, then apply the *.fpa files to CG1 of your E398 MP, and now your E398 MP becomes ROKR E1 MP.
What gayoe made is a converter pack for converting E398 MP that using R373 42R firmware.

It's too late now bro. No use arguing over it. You can't deny it. You have created a MASTERPIECE :) Who said 42R has lagging menu? Try this MP out. It still has a lower Matraxbench rating though (at 125) but it's fast where it matters. Why would I go for 49R or even 46R?

If yes, change CG1 with XVI32, change value at address 1B : 00 --> 01.

wow awsome mp ;D. i love those cool skins, but there are some little things i want to ask:when i double press "menu", it takes 2 secs until keypad gets locked? and is it possible to patch the flashlight-feature (2x *)? and why does the vibe-pulse not work?

Ya,the keypad bug (??) can be fixed by that UNDO patch. And I tried making the flashlight shortcut.But the phone reboots on pressing #+# :( May be the value is different for 42R

I was using motolovers mp before..

How did u convert it?
I convert it with 42R converter pack from gayoe, but my phone kept reboot about 1-3 minutes..

What's your BootLoader, 0A.02 or 07.D0? Mine is 0A.02, and it can work on my phone properly.

Your MotoMusiQ v3 for ROKR version by me, can be flash in original ROKR (BL : 0A.02), maybe can't flash to E398@ROKR (BL : 07.D0).
I flashed it to my friend ROKR (0A.02), SUCCEED... No problem...
All of you (original ROKR) can try flash it, and don't forget to Full Backup first!!!

Give it a try, do not listen to music with vc or iTunes, it wont reboot if u do that, just wait..

Oo yeah...??? It so strange. It's 24 hours alive in my phone. Never rebooting...
Maybe cause I delete any files in my phone. Such as MMS template, btprint folder, and many files not used I think. Maybe...

Just flashed this MP, and its pretty neat. found a bug in the pseudo playlist though...
the songs doesn't progress. it goes to the next song, but after that is over, the first song repeats. so only 2 songs get played over and over. can anyone confirm that?

Try to UNDO the pseudo playlist.

if you want to use chinese langpack, you have to UNDO multifont patch on CG1 and CG15 before you flash chinese langpack.

on CG1, you can UNDO it with FB 2.62 or FB 3.
and for CG15, i'm afraid you have to edit it with hex editor.
or, just flash with your own DRM (which doesn't edit to use multifont).

if you still want to use icon DRM from MotoMusiQ v3, you have to edit it (grab with DRM Port).
or maybe you can ask JithinSK to upload DRM reflash that doesn't use multifont patch.

Friends, several minute ago I flashed MotoMusiQ v3 for ROKR version (mod by me) into my friend's phone (E398@ROKR, BL : 07.D0) and SUCCESS... No problem with that, no rebooting, and working properly...  :)
So, it can be flash into 07.D0 and 0A.02 BootLoader. I'm sure about that...  ;)

Jithin SK after my phone dead, it is likely i rest from modding for a while.
But, i want to try and use this Great MP. If my phone firmware 49R (based on Motolover0.3) then i flash my phone with your MP (firmware 42R),  whether will happen? like bug or problem.

You can flash any firmware on your E398 without considering what you have before :)

yep... you can flash any e398 firmware on your phone but be careful with the 70r... it locks your phone on that firmware and you have to do the test point to change it

I don't think so Bro. :) :) AFAIK E398 and ROKR E1 with Boot Loader 07.DO will not be locked by 7xR firmware. Only ROKR E1 with Boot Loader 0A.02 that is locked by 7xR firmware.

lock=u cannot change ur firmware to other version e.g. 4xR....
u can flash with 7xR firmware MP only....
testpoint is diff.with forceboot....

the mp installed heaps fine, and it runs awesome. problem however, when you go to phonebook, you cant get out without going back to main screen. cause theres send on the left and view on the right, lols. also in vista, you cant see peoples names in phonebook only after you go in..not really a big deal though.. java also doesnt seem to be working for me..

well, your 2 java programs, itunes and the virtual corlet, not sure what theyre supposed to do but they dont operate when i open them, also the plugins dont work except for the audio player.

btw, how do you undo the patch?

You have to unload one corelet before using the other.. Undo patches can be found on the "patches applied" folder. Patch it with FB 2.62

Hey man great MP and great sound as well but there's just one question I'd like to make..I can't seem to play iTunes when I flashed your MP, do I have to do the crack and fix iTunes again to make it work again like the 42r-for-all MP?Tnx man and more power to you my friend..

Anyways, about the re-sending message of the outbox, what seems do I have to edit? Somehow when I resend the message it goes straight away to the Menu..how do I solve this bug?

ur MP its great but in my ROKR 07.D0 cant work such as other member prob.Its restart automaticly in few minutes.If rakai said to repair PDS i am not sure.coz now i use molo3.and i had been solved that prob if u want to use this MP dont 4get to use 42 to all

It works great on my friend's Rokr 07.D0...No restart problem at all...

why i said it must repaired pds? coz i have an experience flashed mp n it's still reboot but when i fixed my pds it solved my problem.

WTH? This seems to be major problem.. The restart bug happens for a few. Must be something with the CG1 patches applied..
For all who has restart bug,
Please reflash with the original 42R firmware(Flashing CG1 from any 42R MP) and apply patches one by one from the patches folder.. And please check which one cause that bug. I cant check because there is no restart problem for me :(

In my opinion, restart problem related to battery power.
As we all know, MotomusiQ v3 MP has very loud startup sound.
FYI my phone keeps restarting after I flash this MP. My phone only gets to bootscreen and then keeps restart. I think my battery doesn`t have enough power to run that loud startup sound.
But after I change my battery with fully charged battery, it works without any problem.

Maybe are_goenk is right. MotoMusiQ v3 MP has very loud sound... ;D

I tried MotoMusiQ v3 MP mod by me (w/ CG7) for E398@ROKR [BL=07.D0] in my friend's phone and succeed, no reboot/restart every minutes, no problem. If you need it, you can PM me. ;)

But for some,the restart happens once every minute.. that seems to be strange :(

yeah the battery must be in best condition.....

I don't think it has to do with the battery guys...I tried charging my battery till its full & yet it still reboots...sigh...

OK! here's a li'l update...i tried out the modified ZL version with cg7...at 1st it didn't reboot at all when I left the mp alone. But just when i started deleting & installing other skins it started to reboot. Although I didn't delete iTiger. The other time this problem occured is when I deleted the "theme" files from C:\

it's so strange... my friend's phone nothing happened until now. I deleted theme too, but didn't delete skin, because my friend like that skin.

use p2ktools to delete skin and theme...

there's no Patch For 4XR Firmware to have unlimited video recording
use elektro alpha firmware or 6XR or 7XR Firmware

AFAIK 4xR firmware doesn't support unlimited video recording.
You can try 79R or 6FR for unlimited video recording  :)

sigh...such a great mp & yet it keeps rebooting on me...i'm gonna kill myself...

finally,i've got this mp to work...i've been using it for 2 days now & it hasn't rebooted once...hope it stays that way. I think i've found out what makes it reboot:
1)before flashing to this MP...make sure you've backed up your phone book into your sim & do not use recovery backup as the MP while crash when going through your contacts especially 1s with photos
2)use p2k tools to delete skins if you wanna free up some space, i suggest not deleting anything else other than skins, wallpapers & ringtones if you wanna add more yourself.

you can set as ringtone only audio files from phone's memory. you must first copy it to phone memory and after that set it as ringtone. if you see a blank at ringtones section (where your audio file name should be) then go to a\mobile\audio and delete MyToneDB.db and TempTone.db and reboot your phone

Click menu button from VC,you can see unload option.. Unload it,start iTunes from games & apps,press red button,wait for a few seconds..

Great mp mate! love the skins and epesically the sound! some nice multimedia too! the surround sound music clip is cool :D Only issue im facing at the moment is the keypad lock, doesnt seem to work for me! Maybe just needs re-patched or something ! But maybe you know :P

Thats because of some shortcut patch... Maybe the "Change RingStyle patch Menu+*(or menu+#)... Try undo that, than it will lock normally, by pressing Menu+Menu quick :)
Anyway, when you pres menu+menu it in default state it will lock also, just wait couple of seconds ;)

hi, i just recently switched to this mp. very nice and very clean. great sounds too. but my start up sound seems to have disappeared. i switched ringstyle to soft then restarted the phone. but when it was starting, there was no more sound. did i do something wrong? also, how do i turn off the flash for the event lights? my battery is 4 yrs old and its difficult to find a battery new here where im at. thanks

See whether the "Key Volume" is set to 0 in "soft ringstyle"

And you can turn off the event lights from the ring styles menu..

well, i don't want to completely turn off the event lights, just the flash.  :)

I use ROKR E1 02. I have flashed with this MP by Zh@ng L, its working for my phone. But I have same problem with Sniper. how to fix re-sending SMS? I do undo pacth of REBOOT on CHAT because is not importing for me. But in tool folder still see Reboot, how to fix it?

Sorry,but I'm not using this MP right now.. So I dunno why that SMS problem occurs..
And BTW,Reboot is still shown because the langpack is edited to display "Chat" as "Reboot phone".. It will be actually chat itself,but just shown as Reboot.. You've edit the langpack or flash another langpack (will lose multifont feature) to fix it..

a friend of mine gave me a moto e398 and i flash it with this soft, but he doesn`t like it. So i try to reflash but everytime when it shown switching to flash mode and the phone reboot and everything stops !?! Sorry if there was someone told you for that but i don`t have a lot of time and i hope someone answer me...

Hey Guys just a question! has anyone found that during a call the keypad is not recognized? For instance when making a call that requires you to press certain keys to navigate through prerecorded options, numbers come up on the screen when pushed during the call but are not recognized in call !!!.
Is there any fix for this? I have checked all options with in the MP but cant find any obvious setting that could be causing this!!!

lol thats weird :D Maybe keypad is locked automatically while you are in call...but then they wouldnt show up...

Try with some other FLEX (backup yours first) and see if it works... Never noticed bug like that before :)

Nice MP buddy, thanks for the hard work and effort put into it. I've two questions for you please help me out..

I have motohell mp currently on my e398 with BL 07.DO.... i just go ahead and flash your mp with multiflex flash nothing to worry about right.

Can you explain what is this all CG1, CG18, CG19.... or what exactly is this CGxx stuff ???
