is't a way to make the sound quality better? or just need to flash to another firmware?

You can modify the volumetable.. Lower volume = better quality.. But Katze3 has more improvement in sound.. You can try it bro.. The best sound quality so far..

Did U mean sound better through speaker or headset? If it's through speaker,U can use Volumemodder to modify the ezxvolumetable. And if it's through headset,U can try another great headphone available on market.

Is there a chance to add codecs n dsp to improve the sound?

you can use vocal boost as your equalizer when playing song through the phone's speaker.......

i'm using one of the best earphone out there (Koss ksc-75), well the best 4 the money... so i dun think my earphone is the problem

no,becoz the input/outpur voltage not same.. it will burn ur e2..(im reading at M3)

try to encode your music files to higher bit rates.. =) in my opinion, aac encoded files sounds better than those encoded to mp3. and acc file sizes are also smaller compared to mp3..

all my songs is 96kbps aac+ (M4A) which is about 2-3mb for 1 song. i think it's enough.
what i mean by the better sound quality is like the katzes firmware declaring "the best sound quality". i want to know what they mean... how to modify to have that quality. do i need to flash to that firmware?
i use my E2 mostly for the music... besides calling and messaging...

Try to go to M3 find katze3 beta n tes3.sbf flash it with the instructions.
For me it has the best sound compared to any f/w in the same volumetable. The sound more rich and the bass powerfull.

i think you should encode the song to higher quality.......96kbps is way toooo low(for me)........you should encode the song to 192-320kbps.......it really made a different......

i know already... wut da hell 5~10mb for 1 song... i still need space for other file like videos.
what i want to know is can i make any difference in sound quality without changing earphone or the kbps. let make example like if i use stock firmware VS katze firmware. i can hear the difference even though i'm using the same file(song).

Copy it to your My_Favor folder,restart the phone and try how loud is the volumetable are.

Actually u can use volmodder.mpkg, u can tune it up urself.. its so cool ;) ;)

volumetable just controls the gain of each audio out/in, not the quality.... even tho the gaintable is modded to the highest youll have the same quality i mean

Low quality @ low volume =   low quality
Low quality @ high volume=  low quality
High Quality @ high volume= High quality
High Quality @ low volume= the same High quality

the difference is that at highest volume, the (whatever) level of quality will be more...notorious

its a matter of Firmware ;) try Katze and ultimate with the same volume tables, the same song file, the same earphones... Katze 3 and K2 updated has wider sound, deeper bass, more increased moderated trebble...

you can just edit the volumetable with notepad on your pc.just change the number on the volumetable....but just like what adrian says it only change the loudness of the phone...i customize it to suite the volume i want....

I think we should edit CG43 to obtain the best sound not just edit volumetable.It's like edit DSP in E398.

u´re right... i cant write all the libraries... but every library that has anything to do with AAC, MP3... Encoding, MP, Mediaplayer, libezxsound,libezxaac and that libs...

I'm using K4RE and I think the sound quality is same as the previous versions of Katze..Z6 sound produces great bass.That's what I feel after using Z6..It beats E2..But,no jack 3.5 mm..

Z6 has the advantage of the external amplifier, so if u would like to make anadapter u´ll need to solder a 3.5 mm jack to the Amplifier at the earphones....
E2 u can just cut anycable no need of amplifier

tho.. the Z6 has a bigger amplifier which gives u kinda more fidelity....

so bad i cannot take that codecsout from a V6 Maxx which is beating both fones :p

Did U mean that V6 Maxx has a better sound than E2 and Z6? I've tested V6 audio player quality from headset or speaker..I thought Rokr is far better than it.My friend has V6 and he asked me to mod it.I've modded the audio.cfg to the max,but Rokr still beats it...Sorry for OOT..

Is it possible to add Z6 player to our E2? I've heard that bass boost in the stereo effect settings fully working. 

now i bought a maxx, i´ve had an E2 and two of my best friends have a Z6 we´ve tested Stock earphones... and same quality, but we´ve made an adapter on soldering classes, and the maxx rocked all the way better than the two rokr´s ... tested on SONY GENEZY, on SONY in Ear .. earphones , they are always like: OMFG Your ROKR V6 rulez! jaja... yeah ROKR V6!

however we havent modded the gains ... not from the Z6, not from the V6... ;) the fones are both stock.. and yeah i love ROKR´s but i love my maxx too... maybe on a further time ... E2 and Z6 will beat it, but when that far comes... i will probably own a ROKR E8 :)

This day i try sony w550i with hpm-70 n sure the bass is so big if mega bass on. But when i plug hpm-70 to my E2 damn the quality of the sound is great bass, mid, treble. my friend was surprised especially when listen to rock n jazz music so good hehe.
And one thing, why bass boost in E2 working when through speakerphone? But not when through headphone? You can hear the difference clearly. Is this why in volumetable the output divided to speakerphone, headphone+mic n headphone only? Maybe we can find what makes it differ. Thx

e6 and e8 is my target too in next year..

E6 is almost outdated :D hahaha better the E8... yeah MAxx uses "WMP" too thats the way motorola liked to call to its player, and no it canNOT be ported to E2 i tried on my betas from Katze, and it wont even show up

the only difference i think is the autoupdate

and in V6 Maxx speed is not even a bit of a problem instead of JUIX fones :)

BTW any Moto can Beat SE´s in Sound quality ;)

V6 is really damn fast..Playing 3D Real Football 2008 is so smooth.No lag at all..I haven't tried Adrian's method..But,I've tested A2DP on some Moto phones..And the winner goes to Z6.Then E2,E6,V6,V3xx,V3x and Z3..I tested A2DP on Nokia 5300 and I felt the sound is so bad..It didn't even beat Z3..Why that music phone has a really bad sound through A2DP? All Motos have a good sound through wired headset and Bluetooth headset..Express Music is just a name.It's not a reality..Rokr is the real Rocker..:D

my frens around me is using different phone.. i can beat them easily but Nokia 3250 is so loud.. i lose with it.. its other motorola can beat it? im not satisfied.. even E398 also produce loud music with full of bass still cannot beat it..

Music phone to me is must have exellent sound quality in headset. Cos no matter how loud the speakerphone is, still cant have good sound cos its physically small. Thats what i think :D

Surely, i dont care about loud, i want quality... Also, the E2 headset is hard to beat... Use Rockbox then compare to other phones in headset... It will beat em all... Hehehe... ;D

@Adrian, one question, why the Z6 player cant be ported? AFAIK, E2 and Z6 have a similar system, same interface and both are Linux, so its not too hard to be ported, isnt it? ???

3250 produces mono sound and just loud..My ex-E1000 could beat it easily..If it's from Nokia,I'll choose 6233..It has a stereo sound although not loud enough..
I want to make friends with U guys,too...By using Moto,I've got many friends...I really love it...:D

however that player cannot be ported mainly bcoz of the Kernel... remember E2: 2.4  E6 2.6 or 2.7 i cant remember... mayb if we mod the "everything" inside the player i mean by reverse engineering

but.. the player on Z6 is way heavier the libs should be included with it and they´re heavier toooo.. while making K4 i was having headache with the CG43 free space!

however we´ll need like 2 MB extra on CG43 and that seems too far  :s

How about mount it or make the new mpkg with Z6 player and libs? So we can now if it works or not... Is that possible?

I've modded my E398 into 3 speakers...The sound is so loud..It blows my ears..:D
But,E1000 sound is still the best..It's so surround and loud..I really miss it....
