i just cracked my screen and sent it to warranty with the 48p Ultimate firmware and they say i've voided my warranty coz its a 'not local' and 'not authorised' firmware...

i can either
a) Void my warranty
b) Have my phone rejected for service(warranty still on)

if i choose a,i'll have to pay hundreds of ringgits to repair the broken screen...

if i choose b,i can get back my phone,try to find the local firmware and send back to warranty to fix my screen...

HELP PLEASE!!!

Nghtstalker.. it very difficult to find our stock firmware.. i am worried bout my phone too..  :(

i chose to have the phone rejected and accordign to them,i've already been marked by the service centre and the nx time i send to warranty,they'll inspect it CLOSELY and if anything is out like the flex version etc,then the warranty will be voided(no more reject) and i must sign the warranty void letter then they service for me -.-"

and they quoted me few hundred ringgit for the lcd screen -.-"

so i need a local firmware which is COMPLETELY stock else... -.-"

hmm.. its trouble now.. we must wait others member for help.. or u can try searching at Motolovers.or.id

PM Exploited.maybe he could help you to find any stock firmwares. Or U should find your fellows who still use stock firmware and then use GetOS to backup its stock.Then flash it to your phone.

Maybe u can try this:
1. Flash stock 36P
2. Flash LP0024

btw, can u give the photo?

my stock Fw is 35p .. so when technical support from checking our Fw is different, they will not fixed our phone.. we must looking for 35p

Raunamaxtor, can you email the 35p firmware to me when you get it? I want it too....you guys really scared me to dead.... I'm really careless and i afraid my warranty will be void too if the phone breaks down....

In Malaysia,firmware of E2 is 35P.In Indonesia,our firmware is 33P.And it's so slow.
Btw,If U cracked ur screen,it shouldn't be guaranteed anymore.

i have a backup of a 35p firmware(or was it 40p) from my fren using GetOS 2.0(all CGs compare to GetOS 1.0 which is only some) but have problems compiling it -.-"

btw,they nvr say anything abt the screen during the whole time i was chatting with them,just the firmware...

and they say currently i've been marked by Motorola ServiceOne and the nx time i send for warranty,they will check it THOROUGHLY -.-"

Well, e2mod has some stock firmware.. Maybe you can use one of them (41p is closer) and replace the langpack..

And yeah, you must void the warranty if it is your fault.. I think they wont repair it even you have the stock firmware coz they have the reason to avoid it.. But, who knows about fortunes? Just can say, good luck bro!

i think My Moto Centre will check the imei and the FW, its same like the product was release by them, its not problem.. im just waiting jzole give me that 35p stock FW  ;)

I will upload the sbf file somewhere so that you guys can download it.But as I said before,I only have the AP...

flash a stock firmware like cmcc branded 40p or 46p or even higher

The files in the archive are smg files,not a single sbf file that can be flashed directly.I guess NightStalker1993 already have them.

NightStalker1993,would you mind giving a description on how you crack the screen?i've drop my phone a few time and i thought it was indestructive-able....... ???

Hye i just want to know how can we combine all the .smg file when make backup using backup os to become a flash able file like the sb...??

First add 0x1000 FF head to cg37 and cg43 using a hex editor.Then use sbf codec (http://www.e2mod.com/content/view/93/27/) to combine the .smg files to sbf.

I download them from somewhere.They usually come with the early stock firmwares.

from the website , i found that most motorola rokr e2 have quality problem .. mine one have too... so i decided take for the customer service and check ..
if possible, i wan 2 new e2 for replacement ...

i emailed the customer service before
he told me take the phone 2 check
but i counld flash it back 2 the ori fw...
sad...

i got problem too. when i writing sms and then i let the light off, then i push button to continue writing, the ssreen display many blue lines

its not happen to me.. i hope the problem will never happen to my phone.. so worry

Today I got my E2. So it is completely stock with F/W: R564_G_12.03.33P and with lang pack 0021. So if anyone still need this S/W or something, PM me. I still know nothing about E2, but I will soon learn.

Ahh.. Finally moved from E398 to E2. (:

EDIT: I just surfed all the motohell forums, and it seems there is no word mentioned about backups. So there is no way to backup E2?

so far we just have GetOs but its not fully backup

i tried all kinds of ways to convert it to 35p...

but after flashing the firmware posted here,its written xx.xx.35p.xx.xx.48p -.-"

and i also tried flashing a fw and replacing all CGs with some1's backup(liike how u replace the cg41 when changing lang pack) and also failed...

THE most IMPORTANT IS THE BP FILE ...

@Blink, are you from Indonesian? For backup, just Get OS that know can do backup, but only CG... Oya SBF Backup can do backup too, but only ezx_user and ezxlocal...

But on stock firmware won't execute mpkg as SBF backup is an mpkg.

the fw I uploaded is only ap part of 35p.after flashing your ap version will be 35p while bp version remains as it was.

if some one can backup the bp all will be fine ....haiz

Maybe it's possible to change the version name by some hex edit...

Wuuu~~ I had mine sent to the service center also and I had to sign the void warranty form for changing the formware.. wuu~~~ I had a problem with the phone as people I called or when people called they cant hear at all what I was saying..wuu~~~ scared.. waiting for the quotation for how much it would cost tot change the microphone.. wuu~~ I couldnt find any1 sharing the stock fw..

actually its for both the cracked screen and the firmware...

customer broke the screen so not covered by warranty....

warranty covers manufacturer defects and those kinda stuff...

hey this is my idea.. why dont we kill our phone when flashing.. so maybe they didnt know this trick.. if they ask how this happen, just said.. im charging the battery and cant turn on.. this is my stupid idea.. dont know is working or not..  i do want to try LOL
