Title: Changing phonebook text entry
Post by: Quinoline on September 06, 2007, 11:48:20 am
Hi, I really need some help with changing my default search text entry for my phone book.
The search function of my phone book allows only Chinese Strokes, Numbers and Symbols to be input whenever I search for my contacts.

Maybe I am stupid but after trying for days, I cannot seem to find the correct place to change the settings of it. Searches throughout the Internet/forums yielded no results. Am I the first person to encounter such a problem?  ???

Information regarding my phone:
AP: Katze 2
BP: R564_G_12.01.48P
Langpack: 0024

Thanks in advance to whoever that can help me solve this.. I do no want to reflash/reset my phone btw.

Edit: Hmm, while I am no expert at this, can it be because the 46P AP is not compatible with the 48P firmware that I am using? If that is so, reflashing with a 48P AP only(E.g. ROKR Ultimate .sbf) would not clear all my messages/saved items in my phone, right?

Hey a fellow Malaysian, I have tried accessing that many times already but it only affects the text entry for typing Text Messages, not the search function of the phone book.

Thanks anyway.

Hmmm yeah, maybe it is because of the LP I am using. Thanks so much, I will try it as soon as possible. Never knew the existence of such an awesome flash.  ;D

Great, thank you so much huatz84, I tried flashing Vanhieumai AIO LP with Chinese and Malay installed separately and the phone book search function works fine now. You saved me from having to reflash my phone.  ;D ;D Thank you!
