Title: Re: Here this shortcut to Explore ur system files Post by: Taurnil on September 01, 2007, 09:35:54 am errr.... that's a MUST KNOW if you're gonna mod your E2... hehe ;)
don't forget something: SAMBA sucks. I mean, you can't edit any file directly on samba; if you do that, the file will be damaged and its size reduced to 0 bytes. If you're gonna edit a file, you must COPY it to your hard drive, edit it there, and copy back (replace the original file with the modified version). greetings Title: Re: Here this shortcut to Explore ur system files Post by: glodos on September 01, 2007, 11:47:43 am Quote If you're gonna edit a file, you must COPY it to your hard drive, edit it there, and copy back (replace the original file with the modified version). yeah the most important rule...but anyone who's modding E2 knows that very gooderrr this topic is for newbies... 1. Change the settings of ROKR to USB-Net 2. Goto Start>Run 3. Type telnet 192.168.16.2 (generally it's the number, otherwise use ipconfig to find out) 4. Type root in the login prompt 5. Go to windows explorer, in the address bar type \\192.168.16.2\system and press enter 6. It's the main thing... by this I also over comed the permission thing Thank you Title: Re: Here this shortcut to Explore ur system files Post by: arctu on January 02, 2008, 12:27:53 am Quote 3. After connecting your phone to PC, wait for a moment for the samba on phone to start. That's all. |
