Title: E1 not accepting ROKR Monster Pack Post by: Nyx_ on November 14, 2008, 08:28:12 pm Hi, I'm facing a strange situation here.
I have a ROKR E1 phone, that was flashed and reflashed few times. It seems that, for some reason, the phone doesn't accept the ROKR E1 Monster Packs anymore. I tried flashing different MPs (using the ROKR specific version) and it always resulted in a dead phone (that I could revive restoring a full backup). I decided to try a E398 Monster Pack and It works perfectly. So, I got the 'Revolution Gran Finale' (RGF) packs, they have a E398 and a ROKR version. First I tried the E398 pack, using MFF, flashed the phone and it worked OK. Later I tried the RGF ROKR version, and, after a sucess flash (no errors) the phone was dead again (just a noise short noise is heard when trying to turn it on). It seems that my ROKR thinks it is a E398 phone :) . My phone bootloader is: 07d0. Current version (provided by RGF E398 MP) R373_G_0E.30.49R What I can do to correct this and make it accept the ROKR specific MP again? Thanks. I just discovered that is possible to take any ROKR specific MP and apply a patch to install it on a e398. I'm using FlashBackup 3.07 and it has these nice feature.
