Some patches need to be changed not only on offset but on values too (e.g send sms from phonebook patch).

I`ve tried 42R before.?It has longer battery life and better sound quality.
Too bad it`s difficult for me to port all patches from other firmware to be used on 42R.
Some patches hex value need to be changed (not only the offset) to suit the firmware. Seems that for some patches, each firmware needs different value.

AFAIK, BG diverts RGF bootscreen offset.

Use Moto Bootscreen Replacer.

Yup, I`ve parsed CG2 from many original full backups of my friends`s E398 (that`s using f/w R372 ofcourse) and I have no problem at all 
You just have to split the full backup file to take the CG2.smg file, then parse it using Flex Parser.

Try to edit mma_ucp using MMA Advanced Editor. It always works for me

You should use mma_ucp that included in my MP to make iTunes, Video camera, Airplane, USB and Voice Dial icons change to suit selected skin.
Or you can modified your own mma_ucp using MMA Advanced Editor to make your skins use iTunes, Video camera, Airplane, USB and Voice Dial icons from skins folder (not from DRM). I think some had made tutorial about it.

You should split your shx file using SHXCoDec, take CG2.smg only, and then parse CG2.smg using flex parser 

Nope. dnp.prf file can`t be edited using MotoLangEditor.
Same with me. I use Random Language Editor to edit dpn.prf.

AFAIK SMS storage on E398 and ROKR can't be made bigger.
SMS storage on E398 and ROKR can only store max 178  SMS (177 inbox + 1 outbox) on phone memory, depends on number of message's characters.
SMS storage depends on seem's capacity (seem 007D multiple records). This seem's size can't be made any bigger even if we change the string to FF.
