Title: System sound
Post by: thewiseman on November 14, 2007, 11:36:13 am
Hi guys,
i've been trying for 2 datys now to change the sound system.I'm using RGF mp v5.0 and every time i'm creating a patch to mod the system sounds and flash it it gives me a blinking white screen.
this is how i do it:
1i split the shx file
2.use the syssound to load CG1
3.select the "Device disconnect"line, press "Browse" button, then "Cutting off emptiness"
4.then remove/replace
i flash the patch with FB 2.62 and 3.04(i tried both of them)
The result......zero!!!just a blinking white screen

Some help?!?!?

thx

Thx JithinSK, but you see it became personal:D, i just need some advice. Now after 3 day a succede in changing 1 sound but in the Motolovers 03 Mp.
can you inlight me with these thins:
1.With Motolovers Mp it worked after i flashed to my phone, then create a backup, then make it a shx file, then split it, then edit it with motosound. If i wrked with the CG1 from the initial Mp motosound told me at the free space line:"0 byte(s)"WtHell?!?Why's that?
Considering that the Mp has initally arround 2.5 Mb free space...
2.And with the RGF Mp after following these steps it told me first that i have 480 bytes free.So i deleted the unneeded file ,created a backup=>shx file=>motosound and it told me that i have like"279456173 bytes" free, wich obviusly it. not good....
Is there a step i'm skipping there, is there something i'm not paying attention!!!
Where do you think i go wrong, maybe there is something wich is not presented in all the tutorials i've watched.I read that this is appliable to all R373, is it now?!?!
thx a lot again for you help with the sounds but i really prefer some tips, maybe how you di it (step by step)if possible:D

k one qwick question:
What do i need to delet to make some space,i've delete some of the mp3 file, lots of the picture files, a skin also(all from phone memory)
and the space showed on Syssound is the same
pls rep
thx

Deleting skins,mp3's etc wont help you in increasing the memory for system sounds because system sounds are in CG1 and the user files are in CG2.. What you have to do is,make 8000 Hz mono wav sounds, first press "cutting off emptiness" and then replace the sound.. If it says not enough space, you have to reduce the wav file size, there is no other way.. And FYI,elektro modded firmwares have very less CG1 freespace than stock firmwares..

yup but what can i do with 480bytes?!?!?

i did that cause this is what i found on motomedders forum and it was poste by  "budilaks", and also there were some guys with the same error:not enough space"but they said they solved it and thei didn't said how :((
patching an undo patch will give me space?!?

thx

Yup, like oniech said. I use clean CG1 (no patch) and with Sysound I cut emptyness bytes then select the sounds.
