i can't open the root file using telnet .... i keep getting the same error ...
anyone know how to use telnet in Vista Huh??

You need to use PuTTYtel

I have Vista too and I can no longer telnet. How do you use PuTTYtel to telnet? How exactly do you use this program?

Go to "Start > Settings > Control Panel > Default Programs > Programs and features > Turn Windows features On or OFF" - there find the telnet app and activate it...
