Ok anyone know how to get the key pad to work on my Rokr E1. It will turn on and off but nothing esle will work on the Key pad

I Cleaned everything really good when i put a new housing on it. Just out of nowhere it started to work besides for the 5 and * keys all the other keys work now. So i dont know what is up with that

ur board keypad is broken.u must change it.

actually it's not the board keypad  which broken, but IC multiplexer keypad, it placed on the back of the keypad board, mount on it. you can replace the IC only or with the board.

you need to take off that white part of your keypad board and clean that places under buttons with some alcohol (over 50%) and put all together and that's all:)

have u tried to flash other MP?.. cause i've experienced before after flashing the keyboard won't really response.. so i tried flashing other MP or u can used ur backup file..

that if it occurred after flashing MP.. but u can still do so, anyway u had ur backup..

I've got to say, E398 and ROKR I'm using have a tendency to fix themselves! It's really great Cheesy

Example, my ROKR's jostick stopped working. Then it worked only for up, than left and right and now it works 100% again Cheesy Great great phones!

He posted the same link in one of my old threads about the keypad issue also... maybe hes just trying to help people that never solved their problem?
