Hi All,

My E2 is currently in stock firmware, and I was hoping to make a backup of it before putting in the latest firmware.  I have read that there is a GetOS mpkg file, but my current firmware does not allow me to run mpkg files... any ideas? :'(

So hoping to get some help with backup of current firmware, language  settings etc. Thanks in advance!

i think u cant backup your firmware in stock  firmware. stock firmware doesn't support the mpkg file and doesn't support telnet too. and for now, there are no pc's software that support for backup firmware e2. so u must backup your contact manually with notes maybe..

You can backup stock FW with PC Software, but BP part only.

You must have:
1. Motorola Driver installed in your PC

1st of all, make sure the phone connection is set to "Modem".

-------------------------------------------------------------

How to make a FULL backup:
1. Run P2KTools VS and set P2K mode to P2K05.
2. Phone in "BP bootloader mode".
3. Connect the phone using the USB cable.
4. Change P2KTools VS to Flash mode --> Flash-Terminal
5. Memory operations: Type "10000000" in the "Start Address" field and "12000000" in the "End address" field.
