hey I AM SO TOTALLY PISSED ):

I went to an authorised motorola technician to fix my d-pad (Refer to my previous thread). He claimed that my KEYPAD had to change along with my D-PAD. He first quoted me $25, which was kinda okay. Then he raised it to $70 because he quoted wrongly. After that I received a call telling me I NEED TO PAY NINETY BUCKS TO FIX MY ^&*()( PHONE!

Rip-off. I'm going to another unauthorized technician to see if he can fix it at a cheaper rate. I'm just afraid that he steals my phone or changes the hardware or something.

If this doesn't work I may leave E2 Modding. Please help me if you know how to fix d-pad DIY or a place where I can fix it cheaply.

Thanks in advance :/

u know man, shit happens. Ur keypad may got broken for several reasons: too much playing (it's a cellphone, not a gba...), water, bad luck, etc...
U make it sound like it were our fault.... but it's not.
I hope you get your cellphone fixed soon.

yeah... that's the new generation of hardware - they don't make anything bullet proof. For comparison my cousin still smacks down an old Siemens ME45 of playing the build in crappy games (Tetris I think) and it do not want to die Smiley

well, tetris need less keypresses than DK or SuperMario, for example Tongue

@sjj: we couldn't expect less from the GAME MASTA xD

Erm..

I don't really play games on my computer. I suspect it is vapour and extreme temperatures as my phone went to 3 degrees C in Australia.

Other than that I don't see what's wrong. But for now Starhub (service provider) is offering me a new phone, the SE Walkman. If things don't work out well, goodbye moto =(

I have a little bit of wear on my control stick, mostly form pushing down all the time.  If I get to use volume up/down to navigate around I do when possible (especially scrolling through songs with stock mplayer)

well i just repaired my keypad just like rauna said...its working, i just expose my E2 to the sun after open it and blow air to it. its because the keypad still has water under the pad, if i only cleaned it just not working.
but i asked service center the price for keypad is about US$26
Thx rauna
