hey guys i have 2 questions

1. is there a linux rokr e8 usb driver avaiable? i cant find any linux drivers

2. can i activate ftp and telnet on the phone without reflash? i have a german rokr e8 and would use german... and not an englisch firmware

1. the official drivers for motorola are windows only. I am sure there is a way to use it under linux, but somebody more linux savy should say here

2. You can flash the firmware with telnet enabled and then flash the 002E language pack over it: http://www.e2mod.com/e8/index.php/langpacks-downloads/37-lp002e-from-0207r.html
That will enable German.

that's fscking windows attitude. there should be no such thing as driver for device, but driver for interface. e8 uses cdc-blan interface, so there is driver for it.

yes of course. you just need to write some files to /ezxlocal. if you don't know how, use reflash.

my rokr e8 isnt found by my linux distri lsusb doenst show the device too?
is there a way to acces the phone over linux?

if lsusb doesn't show - problem is not in drivers. may be phone itself, cable, usb hub, but not drivers.

yes, my e8 had never been connected to another os. fiy, it will not work in Modem & Tools mode out of the box.
