Yes,I'm disappointed either. And I don't think it's wise for Moto to prevent us from modding.

If the restrictions are based on hardware,it will not be so easy to hack...

And in my opinion,Moto is not well supported by developers.Sad

by restrictions, motorola will provide more expensive 'smart' phones which actually based on the same hardware and software

I owned this device since past week. Tougth that would be just a matter of time until this device spread up and the hackings and moddings start to show up, but this telenet restriction was a fucking kick on my balls.

Without modding and native app, the Z6 will be just a stupid mp4 player with tiny display. If I wanted that, I would have bought a sissy iPhone...

Tnks huats84. I´m considering flash that firmware, but I´m waiting to see if any other progresses will come up in the next weeks. I bought the unbranded version, so themes (3 pre-instaled) and starup ( by motorola) are not really important to me. Besides, this pre-instaled firmware seems to be free of major bugs (only freezed once until now).

At last, my compliments to Yan0 for this great step, and good luck for him and all others advanced modders working on telnet Z6...

By the way... I found this post "Z6 Monsterpack - Firmware enabled... (not anymore)". Could´t check to see if It was the Yan0´s version, but I guess the "telnet enable" never really existed, right?

next week I'll join Z6

Nice to hear it Ilove3d. I´m a newbie in the Linux based OS (came from symbian and p2k) but already noticed that you´ve made great modding in EZX...
