Hi, does anyone know what file to delete or whatever to get the phone to re-create the whole music database because it just is not working at all for me atm  Angry

It just comes up with quesion marks for files that have been deleted ages ago ... and doesnt add the ones I've put on ... grrr!

(I have ftp/telnet firmware etc... if  that helps Tongue)

Cheers, Liam!

Upload your music via ftp only not in memory card mode.

It still won't refresh the media list properly

Half the files are labelled with a '?' symbol in the music thing - yet when in the file manager it can read everything fine Undecided

I had a Z3 before the E8 and in the mobile home directory it had a hidden file with the database of music and that on and if you deleted that it refreshed everything .... but there doesnt seem to be one on the E8.

I've tried uploading via FTP and it gets the new files, but it wont delete the ones that don't exist anymore ... argh!

Delete the .udstate on your music folder.

That seems to work with the SD card files but not the ones on the mobile...

This is it, if you don't know what I'm on about yet Tongue
